Preparing for Design Experience 5

Overview

Before attending Design Experience 5, you will engage in a focused set of preparation activities to finalize and organize your Bold School Concept. You will socialize and seek input on your Student Experience artifacts—Day/Week in the Life and 4-Year Progression—with a diverse coalition, then use that feedback to make final revisions. You’ll strengthen and finalize drafts of all Bold School Concept artifacts and prepare yourselves to clearly and confidently present your vision. These activities ensure you will arrive ready to share a coherent, student-centered design, receive feedback, and reflect on your progress so far.

Prepare to share

Make sure all final documents are saved, clearly labeled, and ready to bring to Design Experience 5. As a team, decide what type of feedback will be most valuable to help sharpen your Bold School Concept.

3

Prepare to present

Review your Bold School Concept as a team, clarify key messages, and practice how you will share your bold concept with others during Design Experience 5. Be prepared to bring your Bold School Concept to life in an illustrative storytelling format. This could include a poster, a one-page flyer, a mini slide deck, a short video, or other format so stakeholders can immediately visualize, experience, and feel the heart of your bold vision.
