Putting It Into Practice

1

Initiate a check-in:

Reach out to each school team 2–3 weeks before Design Experience 3. This could be a short email, phone call, or virtual meeting based on team needs.

2

Ask about progress:

  • Insights from student interviews and other community engagement
  • Reflections on the Competency Navigator
  • Learnings from Science of Adolescent Learning & Youth Voice
  • Collected 1–3 unit plans
  • Revisions to the Model-at-a-Glance
3

Offer support:

Troubleshoot any roadblocks—especially around scheduling events or analyzing insights.

4

Celebrate progress:

Reinforce momentum and connect current efforts to what’s ahead in Design Experience 3.

5

Confirm logistics:

Remind teams what to bring and share any arrival or tech details.

6

Share with district:

Communicate team progress, celebrate bright spots, and flag any blockers with the District Team Lead.
